Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 12, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information RaiseMore collects when you use our Fundraising Capacity Simulator, why we collect it, and the choices you have. RaiseMore is a free tool operated by Crowdera at raisemore.org, written in plain language so you can make informed decisions.
1. About RaiseMore and this policy
RaiseMore is a free web tool operated by Crowdera ("we," "us," "our"). It lets nonprofits and fundraisers answer a short 7-step questionnaire and receive a fundraising capacity score (0–100), channel-by-channel revenue projections, a success-probability estimate, a pacing curve, and a personalized action plan.
This policy covers information we handle when you use RaiseMore at raisemore.org. Crowdera is the controller responsible for the personal information described here. If you have questions about anything in this policy, email us at hello@crowdera.org.
2. Information we collect
You provide most of this information voluntarily by completing the questionnaire to get your results.
Contact and identity details: your first name, work email, organization or campaign name, and your role.
Organization profile: organization type, country, years in operation, annual budget, fundraising goal, and timeline.
Fundraising context: fundraising history; network and audience sizes (email list, social following, warm network, volunteers); board details; major-donor prospects; corporate access; planned fundraising channels; team and experience; marketing budget; narrative or story self-ratings; your biggest challenges; and your aspirations.
Preferences: whether you opt in to hear from us.
Technical and usage data: like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers automatically log limited technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you request. We use this to operate, secure and troubleshoot the Service.
We do not ask for donor payment details, government IDs, or other sensitive personal data through this tool, and you should not enter any in free-text fields.
3. How and why we use your information
To deliver the tool: we use your answers to compute and display your capacity score, projections, probability estimate, pacing curve, and action plan. All scoring is done by a deterministic algorithm — there is no AI and no external call involved in producing your results.
To improve the tool: we review aggregated and individual responses to refine the questionnaire, the scoring logic, and the overall experience.
To contact you (only if you opt in): if you check the outreach opt-in, we may email you about Crowdera tools, services and support relevant to your fundraising. We want to be upfront that RaiseMore also helps us identify organizations that may benefit from Crowdera's other offerings. If you do not opt in, we will not send you these messages.
To operate and secure the Service, and to comply with legal obligations. We will not use your information for unrelated purposes without telling you first.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we rely on the following legal bases.
Performance of a contract / steps at your request: we process your questionnaire answers because it is necessary to generate the results you asked for.
Consent: where you opt in to outreach, we rely on your consent to contact you about Crowdera tools and services. You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing hello@crowdera.org.
Legitimate interests: we rely on our legitimate interest in maintaining, securing and improving RaiseMore, balanced against your rights and expectations.
5. How we share information and our service providers
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We use a small number of trusted service providers (processors) who handle data on our behalf and only under our instructions: Vercel provides our hosting infrastructure, and Supabase provides our database. These providers process your information so that RaiseMore can run and store your responses.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition. If any such change affects how your information is handled, we will update this policy.
6. Cookies and analytics
We keep tracking to a minimum. RaiseMore uses only the cookies and similar technologies strictly necessary for the tool to function, plus, at most, privacy-respecting aggregate usage measurement.
We do not use your questionnaire responses to build advertising profiles, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
7. Data retention
We retain your questionnaire submission for up to 24 months to provide and improve the Service. Where you opted in to outreach, we keep your contact details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
You can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing hello@crowdera.org, and we will do so unless we are required to retain certain records to meet a legal obligation.
8. Security
We take reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect your information, and we work with reputable providers (Vercel and Supabase) that maintain their own security safeguards.
That said, no method of transmitting or storing data over the internet is completely secure. We do our best to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security — please share only what you are comfortable providing.
9. International data transfers
Crowdera and our service providers may store and process your information in countries other than the one where you live, including in the United States.
Where we transfer personal information from the EEA or UK to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (and the UK Addendum) to keep your information protected in line with this policy.
10. Children's privacy
RaiseMore is a professional tool intended for nonprofits and fundraisers. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@crowdera.org and we will delete it.
11. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to receive a copy of your information.
You can exercise any of these rights, unsubscribe from our emails, or ask us to delete your data by emailing hello@crowdera.org. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
12. Your results are estimates
The score, revenue projections, success-probability estimate, pacing curve and action plan RaiseMore produces are directional estimates generated by a deterministic algorithm. They are not guarantees of fundraising outcomes and should not be relied on as financial, legal or professional advice.
Your use of RaiseMore and its results is also governed by our Terms of Service, which you should read alongside this policy.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the tool, our practices or the law. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of the policy.
If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know. Your continued use of RaiseMore after an update means you accept the revised policy.
14. Contact us
If you have questions, requests or concerns about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your information, contact Crowdera, the data controller for RaiseMore, at hello@crowdera.org.
